Yoga mat for practice in the park – what should you pay attention to when choosing one?
When purchasing a yoga mat, pay attention to the description of a given model. Mats made of PVC and TPE or EVA foam are perfect for practicing yoga in the park or on the beach. They’re lightweight and more weather-resistant than mats made of natural materials such as cork or rubber. It’s also easier to clean any dirt from them once the practice is over.
Mat thickness is another important issue. Mats with a thickness of 4-6 mm will be a decent, relatively versatile solution, providing appropriate shock absorption regardless of terrain. Thicker mats (often described as travel mats) are a good choice for a beach practice.
